The Academy of Leisure Sciences 2023 Annual Conference on Research and Teaching

As an organization we fully recognize the importance for educators and scholars to re-engage in critical discussions, networking, and community-building. A central focus of the conference is to create these opportunities while connecting our teaching, research, and service to some of the more pressing social and environmental issues of our time. Some would say as a leisure field we are reaching a precipice of deciding who we are and how we can influence the world around us.

TALS 2021 Virtual Conference

The Academy of Leisure Sciences 2021 Annual Conference on Research and Teaching

As we continue to face challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional format of the TALS Conference on Research and Teaching has been altered for 2021 to feature a number of virtual events throughout the month of February, including the forthcoming Opening Bannon Lecture; the virtual research and teaching presentations, virtual poster session, the Friday Research and Teaching Seminars, and the Closing Keynote.
